The Open Gaz de France tournament in the town of Cagnes-sur-Mer - was established in 1998. The tournament has been ratified by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and the European Tennis Association (ETA).

This tournament (with 100.000 USD+H prize money) is now one of the top women's tournaments organised in France.

Loyal to the tournament since it was created, BNP Paribas is one of its major partners.

The winner of the 2006 tournament is Martina Muller (GER) who has defeated Anastasiya Yakimova ((BLR) 7/6 2/6 6/0.

The 2007 tournament will take place from 21 to 29 April.
