BNP Paribas family trophy

The concept of this national tournament is particularly original and fun, since it consists of doubles matches where the two partners must be members of the same family.

Three events are organised: women's doubles (e.g. mother-daughter, sister-sister or even grandmother-granddaughter), men's doubles (father-son, etc.) and mixed doubles (husband-wife, brother-sister, etc.).
There are four categories in each event: open, 3rd series, 4th series and non-ranked. The family trophy takes place in two stages: a qualifying stage in 60 towns all over France, and one national final in November at the Club Med de Pompadour (Limousin) which brings together all of the regional winners.

BNP Paribas has agreed to become the title sponsor for this event in 2002, which from now on will be called the "Trophée BNP Paribas de la famille".
