In 2007, BNL becomes the "title sponsor" of men's and women's Internazionali d'Italia. The next Internazionali d'Italia "signed by BNL". The 2009 edition will take place from 55 April to 9 May 2009.

The men's competition is one of the 9 phases of the ATP Masters1000 s circuit, while the women's is one of the main WTA circuit competitions. During the last few years, the tournament has benefited from considerable efforts made by the Italian Tennis Federation to strengthen its prestige and visibility.

Through this partnership, BNL shows its dynamism by associating its name with a major sport venue, in Italy. BNL has always developed strong relationships with Italian sport and its main associations: it has been the bank partner of the CONI (the Italian National Olympic Committee) for 70 years.
