Grand prix de Tennis de Lyon GPTL

BNP Paribas sponsors the 2009 Grand Prix de Tennis de Lyon. The tournament will take place October 26 to November 1, at the Palais des Sports of Gerland.

Created by Gilles MORETTON, this event, most commonly called GPTL by insiders, is definitely one of the most expected in Lyon.

This tournament has welcomed Top Ranked players in the world: Yannick NOAH who won the GPTL in simple and double games for its launch in 1987, Mc Enroe who won for the first time in 1989 a French Tournament, … Sampras who had the crowd gone crazy by winning the GPTL three times in a row (1991-1992-1993) and so received the Korloff Trophee (mounted with gold and diamonds).
But also many other famous players like Agassi, Chang, Kuerten, Clément, Roddick and so on…
